Custom Reference Line
Custom reference lines allow users to create static or parameter-driven reference lines in cartesian charts. This functionality enables users to define lines on charts depicting targets, control values etcetera.
Users can create a reference by clicking on the reference line icon in the ribbon (red box) from the components tab.
This opens a dialog box that allows the user to define the required fields for the reference line.
- Caption - Enter the caption to appear as a legend on the Cartesian Chart
- Value - Enter the value to be used for the reference
- Parameterize - Check the box to allow the user to edit the reference value at runtime
The Custom Reference Line will be automatically added to the value drop zone (green box) and to the color drop zone (blue box)
A Formulate definition will be created as a measure and selected (red box). The formulate definition can then be edited and adjusted and shared if required.
The new custom reference line will be added to the Cartesian chart (red arrow) and it will be added as a legend.
